I want my children to grow up in an America where people are safe in their own homes.
We must return to the days of being tough on crime and tough on hardened repeat offenders. Instead of coddling criminals and illegal immigrants we need to further improve public safety to create safer neighborhoods for all.
As a former police officer, I can be counted on to fight any efforts to defund the police, and instead prioritize more funding to increase law enforcement hiring and training while also reforming the criminal justice system.
And as your voice in Washington, I will keep our streets and borders safe from gangs, drug cartels, and violent criminals, make our schools safer for children, and put special attention towards protecting our seniors from fraud, exploitation, and financial abuse. At the same time, I will work to ensure funding to help create effective programs to combat the opioid epidemic that is tearing apart families and communities.
